Contents UsageThe blaster is a common weapon used by both military personnel and civilians. It comes in a variety of shapes, sizes, and capabilities. Some are augmented for other functions, such as ascension guns that fired grappling hooks and cables. Many blasters have stun settings which are used to incapacitate a target instead of dealing lethal damage.Like all blaster technology, the blaster pistol fired cohesive bursts of light-based energy called 'bolts' or 'blasts'.
Depending on the blaster and sometimes on the energy they consist of, the blaster bolts vary in the colors red, blue, green, yellow, orange to name a few. Blaster bolts can be repelled by magnetic seals and deflector shields.
Hi Holotable Heroes,Welcome to another State of the Galaxy! Galactic Legends Rey and Kylo Ren are landing later this month so we want to share some final insights into the development of these characters and their events.Galactic Legends are a new type of character and we start them off with the culmination of the new trilogy - the Force dyad of Rey and Kylo Ren. Many of our strongest characters are released in quick events as bursts of excitement, however we also want to diversify our event experiences. By slowly revealing the requirements and leaving the events open (once you’ve met the requirements), these events serve as a long-term goal for veteran players to work towards. As we’ve mentioned, Galactic Legends unlock at 7 stars, but unlike many other events, you don’t need to reach the final tier of the event to achieve this. You’ll receive enough character shards to activate eachGalactic Legends partway through their event, however you still need to complete their entire event to unlock their full power - their ultimate ability.
The Separatist Supply Ship, also known as the Separatist Support Ship or the Separatist Transport, was a massive transport and supply ship utilized by the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars. After the war's end, B1-268 resided in the wreckage of a downed Separatist supply ship on the planet Agamar, along with super tactical droid general Kalani and many other battle droids.
The Ultimate Abilities will require a new Ultimate Ability Material to unlock that is rewarded from completing the final tiers of the event. You will have enough material to unlock their Ultimate Ability once you have earned all available materials from the later tiers of the event. The materials needed to unlock ultimate abilities will only be available in Galactic Legend events.Once you qualify for each of their events, you will be able to earn event tickets through existing gameplay and can be used to attempt a tier of the Galactic Legends event that you have unlocked. These event tickets come in 2 varieties, light and dark side, and you’ll need the appropriate type to participate in that side’s Galactic Legend event. (NOTE: these tickets do have a maximum cap) Each tier of the event will give rewards for a certain number of completions until that tier’s rewards has been exhausted. Once all tier rewards are exhausted, you will no longer need tickets to access the event and will no longer earn them. These characters have powerful abilities but one of the most exciting features is their visuals.
Our art team has been hard at work creating more detailed character models, epic animations, and iconic moments during their events, and we want to give you a peek at some of the behind-the-scenes development. Feb 14, 2020, 10:02 p.m.Hello Holotable Heroes,Welcome to the State of the Galaxy for February - while this one is coming mid-month, the next installment should return us to a more regular schedule.A couple things we’d like to cover in this month’s State of the Galaxy:Galactic Legends Event StructureWe’ve got a few details we’d like to share about the new Galactic Legends Event Structure.
We’ll bring these to you regularly as we continue to develop and refine the design. First off, this event will require a new kind of event ticket, which will be earned via existing game modes. These tickets will become earnable once a player has met the prerequisites and unlocked the event. We are still working out the specifics of where the tickets will be earned, but we expect players to be able to earn these tickets every day.Regarding squad configuration, players will only be able to assign one Galactic Legend per squad. While there are design considerations for this restriction, we also want to signify the clash between light and dark that these Galactic Legends represent, and are imagining that Galactic Legends will usually be released in pairs to reinforce this.Mythic BattlesAs you might have noticed, Mythic battles have returned.
Our goal is to have them run on a regular basis going forwards.Galactic Legends ArtOur artists gave us this wireframe look at the progression of Rey’s 3D models in our game, from her first appearance as Scavenger Rey to a sneak peek at her new Galactic Legends version. We hope this gives you an idea of how hard our artists have been working to make these Galactic Legends special! Jan 21, 2020, 10:01 p.m.Hi Holotable Heroes,The year is 2020 and we have another exciting year of Galaxy of Heroes planned for you!
We’re back from the holidays and want to briefly discuss Galactic Legends, some additional content in the next two months, and address some persistent tech problems.Galactic LegendsShortly before the release of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, we unveiled a new type of character: the Galactic Legend. We know you’ve been asking when, where, what, and how, so we’re going to start pulling back the curtain.Galactic Legends will be both a new type of character and a new type of event with a very different structure than our previous entries.
Over the next two months we will be gradually revealing the units required to activate the event. In March, the last batch of requirements will be revealed and later that month the events will become playable. One more thing to mention is that Galactic Legends will be 7. unlocks. We will be revealing more about the event itself and the new Rey and Kylo units at the end of the month - stay tuned for more information!Upcoming ReleasesWe continue our Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker content with the introduction of Resistance Hero Poe later this week. Poe will synergize with Inspired allies and introduces a new debuff: Vulnerable. In February, we’re going to introduce two capital ships from the New Trilogy, the Raddus and the Finalizer.
BugsWe have two outstanding issues we wanted to highlight. First, some players/guilds are not getting Wat Tambor or Ki-Adi-Mundi shards when completing the special missions in the Republic Offensive or Separatist Might. We believe we’ve identified the issue and have released the fix two weeks ago. We’re monitoring to make sure it solves the issue, and if so we’ll start the work of returning missing shards.
Our apologies that this issue has taken so long to identify and remedy.Second, we have another bug in the Republic Offensive Territory Battle that will persist through the next instance. Most notably, Anakin’s Starfighter will still be in the platoons, when it is also required in the special mission for the phase. This issue will be corrected in the next instance of the event; fixing this bug while the event goes live causes this bug to persist.
Finally, we have a few small description bugs that will be fixed in the next release (Reek description, Kalani’s abilities, etc). That’s it for this State of the Galaxy. We are planning on having another State of the Galaxy next month, followed by a Road Ahead in March. Our planning for this year is already shaping up to be pretty ambitious.
We’ll be able to talk about it more in the coming SotG and RA.See you on the holotables,TopHat. Nov 20, 2019, 09:11 p.m.Hello Holotable Heroes,Welcome to another installment of the Road Ahead.
We posted earlier this week about the new light side Territory Battle on Geonosis, but in this post we’d like to discuss some exciting changes we have planned for future content in Galaxy of Heroes.New Trilogy ContentWhile the Light Side Territory Battle for Geonosis completes this current chapter for Galaxy of Heroes, we’ve been delighted from all imaginative Clone Wars squads you’ve built. But for now we are transitioning to the New Trilogy and, like all of you, we were incredibly excited to see the final trailer for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker!
We’re looking forward to having old friends (General Hux) and some new friends (Sith Trooper), kick off our foray into the culmination of the Skywalker Saga! While we can’t release specifics about some of the other upcoming characters and ships, we can tell you that this phase of content will take us well into spring.Fourth AnniversaryThis November, Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes turns four years old! We’re planning a big thank you celebration for our incredible community to commemorate their long-term commitment to our game, including double drops, a crystal promotion, and a generous thank-you package!
We’ll see you on November 23rd as we prepare for our anniversary celebration. Speaking of four years. The Plan So Far.Over the last year, our focus has been reshaping the game step-by-step to enable an expansion of elder game content.Grand Arena Championships was the first step in that process. We wanted a place where players could take their entire collection, based on all of the Star Wars synergies and gameplay metas that have developed over the years, and continue to have them be relevant and fun to play with. But the game itself is in a very different state than when we started 4 years ago. New players starting out now will not have the same experience as our elder players did when they first started, so we knew we needed to take a look at the early game and make sure that new players had a clear path to reach the most exciting content which starts from level 85. We also wanted to find a way to help them become functional members of a guild (functional, meaning that they can acquire legendary and journey characters in a dedicated way; a concern shared by our elder players). Improving the early game experience will require iteration over time, but we believe we have a good idea on how to tackle it.
And with that we present. The Journey GuideOne of the most challenging aspects of Galaxy of Heroes for new players entering the game is what it takes to get the most popular content and iconic characters. New players face a dense web of interconnected content that must be navigated in order to be able to participate in Legendaries, Journeys, Epic Confrontations, Raids, and Territory Battles. With most of the events not on a visible cadence, it can be difficult to know what to work on and when. We want to help clarify this for our players. To help new players navigate this deep and exciting part of the game, we’ve been working on a new feature we call the “The Journey Guide”. This new feature will provide clarity and structure for how a player, both new and old, can progress through our content-rich, intricate game. It celebrates the most aspirational characters (and ships) in SWGOH, highlighting their power and place within the game, while helping players to understand how to make progress towards unlocking them.
While this will prove invaluable for newer players, elder players will also find that they can leverage this tool in their own pursuit of character unlocks and high-level activities.Along with this new feature, we’re excited to announce that all Legendary, Journey, and Epic Confrontation events will eventually move into the Journey Guide some time after their initial release. Nov 01, 2019, 11:11 p.m.Hello Holotable Heroes,It’s been a busy week and wanted to reach out to give a few updates:. We’re starting to finalize testing on the Starforge Showdown. The event has been tentatively rescheduled to run next week from 11/8 through 11/10.
We’ll keep you updated if that date changes again. Chewbacca is currently bugged and doing more assists than he should be. We’ll be rolling out a fix for him next week. We had an omission from our most recent patch notes. We’ve changed when the roster lock occurs for both TW and GAC matchmaking. Previously, your roster did not have a snapshot of your collection taken until the moment matchmaking had begun. This resulted in some players rosters being updated after the moment matchmaking by the nature of the system going through and taking snapshots of everyone’s roster.
Now, when you click the Join button your roster is snapped. For TW, if you exit, you are removed from matchmaking consideration. When you rejoin, your roster is snapped again at that moment. Apologies for the omission.See you on the holotables.CGTopHat. Oct 22, 2019, 09:10 p.m.Hello Holotable Heroes,We’re letting you know we need to delay the Darth Malak rollback that we originally had planned for today.
The rollback is a complicated procedure and we need more time for testing. We’re angling to roll it out tomorrow around 10:30 AM PST, but we’ll keep you updated if things change. We also wanted to let you know that we’ve reconsidered our position regarding the Darth Malak make good. We recognize that there are a number of players that had no idea that the event was giving out duplicate shards based on the messaging live in the game. We can’t preserve the additional shards/promotions as we. However, we also recognize that many players have now grown accustomed to having their Darth Malak promoted or unlocked. We would like to expand our current offerings to the following:. All players will receive 500 crystals, up from 250.
![Galactic Galactic](http://s2.glbimg.com/RRAeNlKI-MF1lraKeiHXpHbSrfg=/0x600/s.glbimg.com/po/tt2/f/original/2014/11/04/star-wars-galactic-defense-5.png)
Players that did not have 7. Darth Malak as of 10/18 12:01 AM PST and are having shards/progress removed, will now receive 5000 GET I and 2 Zeta materials for the progress being removed.
Players that had 7. Darth Malak as of 10/18 12:01 AM PST will receive the previously detailed rewards of Shard Shop Currency.See you on the holotables,CGTopHat.
Oct 19, 2019, 12:10 a.m.Hello Holotable Heroes,Today, we had a bug occur where players that previously completed the Starforge Showdown event were able to receive the rewards of the event a second time. This was an unintended consequence of a recent change to the store system.
Unfortunately, we cannot allow these shards to remain in system without undercutting GET and those who previously earned Malak without the bug. What we’re going to do to correct our mistake is roll back any character star promotions and changes to the state Darth Malak was at 12:01 AM PDT, for any players that received the extra shards. Any gear, relics, etc that was applied to Darth Malak will be returned to their inventory.
We will be rolling back the affected Darth Malaks on. On we will be removing Darth Malak from GET store to help get an accurate snapshot of the state of Darth Malaks with the extra shards. Darth Malak will return to the GET store on.Some players received extra shards that already owned Darth Malak at 7. To reconcile this difference, we will be granting all players that owned Darth Malak at 7.
on 12:01 AM PDT, some Shard Shop Currency. Players that did not receive additional shards will receive 2250 Shard Shop Currency. Players that received only one tier of additional shards will receive 1125. Players that received two tiers of additional shards will not receive any additional currency. Finally, all players will be receiving 250 crystals for this inconvenience. Once again, we apologize for this inconvenience and confusion around this issue.
We’re investigating the processes we have in place to make sure this doesn’t happen again. We will be rescheduling the Starforge Showdown event shortly and will let players know when it will return.See you on the holotables,CGTopHat.
